Traffickers Taken Off Streets

San Felipe, Baja California, - A tornado formed by the state's public security forces landed on the streets of the Port of San Felipe and scooped up a half dozen narcotic vendors, small fry in the overall criminal landscape.

Ramón "N", 26, Raúl "N", 31 and Rosendo "N".

These 'narcomenudistas', or street traffickers', were identified as Hugo "N", 27; Margarita "N", 42; Ramón "N", 26; Raul "N", 31; Rosendo "N", 41 and Armando "N", 46, who were all on the receiving end of the State Preventive Police's "Operation Tornado", which was deployed within that municipal delegation and were able to confiscate over 250 doses of drugs, especially a synthetic known as "ice".

The dragnet was carried out in different locations and sectors, --at kilometer 3 of the road to Mexicali, on the Gulfo de Guayaquil Avenue, at Mar Santillanes in the Gavilanes colony, and at the corner of Mar Norte and Chetumal.

Hugo was discovered on a Susuki motorcycle without plates, which he said was his, but couldn't provide proof of ownership. He was searched and 108 wrappers containing "ice " were discovered.

In the Gavilanes colony, Margarita and Ramon were encountered in suspicious circumstances. When they were searched and 90 doses of "ice" were found.

Subsequently, Raul was seen on Mar Santillanes Avenue in the aforementioned colony and was arrested. Raul had a jar with 56 doses of "ice" on him.

Rosendo was searched at the corner of Avenue Puerto Peñasco and Mar Gavilan and found to be carrying the same drug. Finally, on Mar Norte and Chetumal, Armando was detained. He was in possession of a bundle of the same methamphetamine.
