Labor Day Weekend Arrests

San Felipe, Baja, Mexico


A total of 86 people, seven of them with active arrest warrants, were arrested during the Labor Day weekend in a coordinated effort at the port of San Felipe.

Since Friday the authorities of the three branches of government reinforced the area and implemented patrols in the colonies, camps, suburbs and the Malecon.

Personnel from the Mexican Army, Navy, Municipal Police, State Ministerial Police and neighborhood MP, joined the preventive strategy.

During patrols 79 people were captured for committing various misdemeanours, while five arrest warrants were completed.

Two other individuals were arrested for having arrest warrants under federal jurisdiction for crimes and were turned over to the PGR.
