A man miraculously escaped alive after shooting at San Felipe municipal officers with a 357 Magnum hand gun. The police, who would normally return fire, were taken by surprise by the man's actions.

Municipal police were patrolling the area of Los Gavilanes at about 02:00 AM when they detected the suspicious presence of a man who, when he saw the patrol car, tried to go unnoticed. But the officers noticed the strange behavior and went to investigate.

Instead of adopting an attitude of submission, the man raised his right hand menacingly and fired. The police, after recovering from the surprise attack, tried to apprehend the man, but without success.

The events took place on Avenue Estrella Marina.

The offender took advantage of the confusion and made his escape, either dropping or disgarding the gun as he fled. While reviewing the scene, police found the Magnum.
