Officials Adolfo González Orozco and Lucio Morales Cantabrana receive tribute for their work with the youth of San Felipe.

As recognition for their daily efforts to fight addiction, DARE officers of the Municipal Public Security Bureau were handed the Keys to the Port by Jose Osorio Osorio, municipal delegate of San Felipe.

Those who received the tribute on behalf of their fellow officers were Adolfo González Orozco and Lucio Morales Cantabrana, who were commended for the performance of DARE and for their work among the young people of the town in a joint struggle with parents against drugs.

The formal ceremony was an effort to commend the actions implemented in primary and secondary schools by DARE, whose programs for students in and after school raise awareness of the risks of drug-use and their adverse effects.

Although the DARE programs emphasizes prevention, it deals with other issues, such as bullying and the importance of sports and cultural activities.

Also attending the event was Ivan Camacho, Liaison Deputy Attorney General of the State.
