Malecón activity for the Shrimp Festival,
2004.

Shrimp season has arrived. The town has been busy this
past week, primping and preening for the arrival of Shrimp
Festival officianados. Curbs have been painted, streets
have been scrubbed clean with soap and water, boulevard
landscaping has been manicured and the sun has been asked
to wipe its feet before coming into town.
The festival is in its 12th year now. There is a piñata
full of events lined up. Shrimp taste-off, carnival rides,
art exhibits, awards ceremonies, mariachis, dances, beach
soccer and live music.
So come and join the festivities. Sample one of San Felipe's
best celebrations.
